A unique username is allocated to each person and gives you access to electronic resources, e-mail and internet at Stellenbosch University. Student usernames are automatically allocated on enrolment, but staff usernames require an application process.
All new staff members should contact their departmental secretary to complete the application for this service.
The steps are as follow:
1. The role must be confirmed as the user should already have a US Number assigned to them. E-mail HR for role information.
2. If the user already has a role and US number please proceed to step 3 – if not, you will have already received the correct procedure from your communication with HR to have them created.
3. Follow this LINK to create a username for the new staff.
4. After the username has been created please log a call for a profile setup on the PC/Laptop they will be using.
Pensioners can reactivate online or at the cashiers at Administration A on Stellenbosch campus or at Tygerberg cashiers.
Payment of R445-00 via EFT. To do the EFT payment, Stellenbosch University must be added as a beneficiary on your online banking profile. For SU banking details, please contact us.

Payment of R458-00 (3% credit card fee added) is made by credit card.
Applicants fill in credit card details and SU staff number.
Cashiers at Admin
Cashiers at Admin A on Stellenbosch campus or cashiers on Tygerberg campus.
Pensioners make a payment of R445-00 at the cashier with receipt type 1107 (network registration)
SU number will also be required.
