The university is a Microsoft partner and therefore a Microsoft Educational Agreement is in place. This allows the installation of the latest versions of any operating system or Microsoft Office Product.

FUNCTIONS AND FEATURES 

The following applications are installed on all standard laptop or desktop configurations purchased through the IT department:

  • Latest supported operating systems
  • Microsoft Office 2013
  • Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Afrikaans Speltoetser
  • TeraTerm
  • VNC
  • Java
  • Antivirus
  • A user profile will be set up and e-mail configured
  • Version upgrades of any of the standard software are free of charge​
